Entry by Shara, Chief Medical Officer and First Mate of the Liberty II

We just returned from the mission to B'Daal.


It was a difficult mission.  The task was difficult, and so was the aftermath.


Emerald was abducted and tortured - broken bones, strips of skin removed from her arms, internal injuries, and much more.  Sexually assaulted - including a perforated uterus and....more.  The only blessing from all of this is that the head trauma she suffered seems to have caused her to not remember the majority of the abuse/event.


The trade agreement with B'Daal was upheld - which is all Navaar cares about.  Mother of Orion, I hate her.


Ian and I are getting along better.  Sort of.  Most of the time.


More about that later.

New Captain, New Mission, and My Debt to Navaar

With my marriage to Jared, and then his death, I assumed ownership of the Liberty II.


Unfortunately, I also assumed all of his debts, as well.  Even though I wasn't aware he had any.  


Apparently Jared borrowed credits from Navaar to finance the Liberty II and his new business. I really don't even know how much the debt is, but I'd imagine it's substantial.  (I'll find out, but things have been so crazy around here.  I haven't had the chance or the urge to ask Navaar.  I'm afraid it will be some exorbitant amount.)


So now I am working off the debt to Navaar.


But wait!  It gets better!  (That was sarcasm, in case you missed it.)


There is someone else that owes Navaar - Ian Scarlet.  He crashed his ship on one of the landing pads, tearing up the ship and the pad.  Navaar is making him work off his debt, too.


By being the captain of the Liberty II.  My ship.  *sighs*  I'm still the CMO, and Ian also asked me to be First Mate, since he knows nothing about our tech or our ships.  Or the crew. 


So we have to work together, under the threat of debtor's prison on Tynnara if we don't come through.  Lovely.


We also have our first mission - to the Gree Enclave, to "procure" some hypergates.  Yay.


*sighs*  I'll admit, at first I hated Ian.  I swear I did.  Not that he had done anything to me - he's just as stuck as I am - but just because he was someone I could focus all of my anger on.  


He is actually a decent man, and he's trying to make the best of this situation.  


*lowers her gaze, holding back tears*  But I'll admit, when I saw Ian sitting in the Captain's chair, where Jared used to sit.....where I used to sit with Jared....in his lap.....laughing....kissing....snuggling....


It hurt.  Deeply.


It's not Ian's fault.  


I just have to learn how to cope with it. 

The Death of Jared Stone

I am....cursed.


I lost Mirek, my first husband.....killed from wounds when a business deal went wrong.....died in my arms....


I lost MU Tom Paris.....lost....presumed dead....


Ghez Fel....my lover....killed on a mission....


Count Dooku....lost....presumed dead.....


And now Jared.....my husband of less than an hour....then shot and killed....died because I couldn't save him.....


Maybe everyone is right.....I am a green widow....

Resignations and Resolutions

Entry by Miya, former Chief Medical Officer of the Liberty II


I have resigned as the CMO for the Liberty II.


Jared was acting so erratically, he even attacked me when I resigned.  I know he wasn't in his right mind (Shara found an implant in his head afterwards), but....I still couldn't go back.


My place is with Bail.  Working by his side.  Working to help his cause.


I would imagine that Shara will be taking over as the CMO, but I'm not sure.

Shara: @_Jared_Stone *nods, grabs a medkit, goes to the transporter room* @Miya_Xiao


Miya: @_Jared_Stone *comms* On my way. *gets a medkit, heads to the Transporter Room* @SharaTheOrion


Jared:  @SharaTheOrion @Miya_Xiao ~walks to the Transporter Room~ These pilots are down in some rugged terrain. Cliffside. We're beaming in but we'll need to be careful. Watch your step.

Miya: @_Jared_Stone *nods* Understood. @SharaTheOrion

Shara:  @_Jared_Stone *nods* Okay. @Miya_Xiao

Jared:  @SharaTheOrion @Miya_Xiao ~nods, has us beamed to the area, the pilots' craft is on the cliff's edge~ ((http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3130/2676643937_0f414a58d8.jpg?v=0 )) ~warning tone~ Watch your step! ~tricorder out, scanning the area~ Getting two life signs.

Miya:  @_Jared_Stone *nods, tricorder out* Same here. *walking towards the crashed ship* @SharaTheOrion

Shara:  @_Jared_Stone *nods, scanning* One is in the ship. The other right beside. *quickly moving to the ship* @Miya_Xiao

Jared:  @SharaTheOrion @Miya_Xiao ~widens the scan~ More life signs. These are moving this way. ~looking around~ Not in sight yet.

Miya:  @_Jared_Stone *enters the ship, stepping over debris, making her way to the injured pilot* @SharaTheOrion

Shara:  @_Jared_Stone *finds the second pilot next to the ship, kneels beside him, medkit out* Found one! @Miya_Xiao

Jared:  @SharaTheOrion @Miya_Xiao ~nods, checking the readings from the tricorder~ We need to make this fast. Can they be transported right now?

Miya:  @_Jared_Stone *approaches the pilot cautiously, kneels beside him, quick scan* Mine can't. Not yet. *feels the ship shift* @SharaTheOrion

Shara:  @_Jared_Stone *runs a scan on the pilot* No. Let me stabilize him some first. *doesn't notice the ship move* @Miya_Xiao

Jared:  @SharaTheOrion @Miya_Xiao ~getting nervous~ Ladies, we are going to have company very soon. I suggest you f*cking hurry. ~draws phaser~

Miya:  @_Jared_Stone *trying to hurry, working on the pilot* I'm going as fast as I can. @SharaTheOrion

Shara:  @_Jared_Stone *doesn't answer, just tries to work faster* @Miya_Xiao

Jared:  @SharaTheOrion @Miya_Xiao ~comms the ship, has them on standby for emergency transport if necessary~

Miya:  @_Jared_Stone *checking her pilot's vitals* I think I'm almost ready. A few more minutes. I--*feels the ship shift again, loses her balance as it lurches forward, sliding over the cliff edge* Jared! @SharaTheOrion

Shara:  @_Jared_Stone *feels the ship move* Miya! Hold on! *runs to help @Miya_Xiao as the ship slides slowly, the balance thrown off*

Jared:  @SharaTheOrion @Miya_Xiao ~looks over~ Shara! NO! ~runs to the ship, grabs Shara as she's trying to reach Miya, pulling her back~

Miya:  @_Jared_Stone @SharaTheOrion *reaches for Shara, one arm around the pilot so she can pull him out, sees Jared grabbing Shara* Jared!?  *can't grasp Shara's hand to get help out over the debris, feels the ship slide, then tip, then fall*

Shara:  @_Jared_Stone @Miya_Xiao *yanked back by Jared, can't reach Miya, screams as she sees the ship begins to fall down the cliff*

Jared:  @SharaTheOrion @Miya_Xiao ~pulls Shara into a fierce hug, clutching her~ You would have gone off the cliff with her if I hadn't grabbed you! What the f*ck were you thinking?! ~watches helplessly, watching the ship tumbling over the cliff~

Miya:  *screams into her comm* Jǐnjí yùnshū! Èr zhì---- *remembers to use Basic* Emergency transport! Two to beam up!!! NOW!!!!!

Shara:  @_Jared_Stone I was trying to help her!! *looks at the cliff, hears the crash as the ship hits bottom and turns away*@Miya_Xiao

Jared:  @SharaTheOrion ~turns you to look at him~ Shara.....I could only save one. I couldn't save you both. ~pulls you close again~ @Miya_Xiao

Miya:  *shimmers into existence in the Transporter Room with the pilot, battered and bruised but alive - no thanks to @_Jared_Stone*

Shara:  @_Jared_Stone *goes back to check on the pilot, murmurs* Let's beam him up. I'm sure that crash will attract attention.

Jared:  @SharaTheOrion ~nods~ I need.....to make a comm call. And check out the ship. I'll see you soon. ~has you 2 transported to the infirmary ~
